Ashtanga Yoga


The Ashtanga Yoga is a style of yoga codified and popularized by K. Pattabhi Jois during the 20th century which is often promoted as a modern-day form of classical Indian yoga. Ashtanga means eight limbs or branches, of which asana or physical yoga posture is merely one branch, breath or pranayama is another.

·         All yoga asanas are available in eight limb of yoga.God Budhha is also define ashatanga yoga which is related to patanali ashtanga yogasutra.However the  yogasutra establish after Budha.
·         Ashtanga yoga is a very important sadhana (practice) process which is define in Patanjali sutra.
·         Near 200B.C. Maharshi Patanjali yoga is collect in written form  and create yoga sutra.
·         By this yoga sutra method Patanjali called father of this yoga.They gave eight yoga-Yam, Niyam, Asanas, Pranayama,Pratayahaar,Dharana, Dhyana & Samadhi.
